Christmas Carol - Jane Collman

Good morning,

Hope you are all well!
This week we are featuring
'Christmas Carols' here on the blog
and I am starting off the posts......

'Ding Dong Merrily on High'

One of my favourite Christmas Carols!

Take a card blank and add a piece of
co-ordinating cardstock.

Using Watercolour Card, stamp and emboss
your image, I used Versamark Ink and
Silver Detail Embossing Powder.
Add some of your chosen Distress Inks
to a heat resistent/messy sheet and
spritz with water.  'Dunk' your card
and when happy with the colour, dry
naturally or very carefully with a heat gun so
that you don't melt your embossing powder.

Stamp a second image but you will only
need the bells.  Emboss as before.

Using the same Distress Inks that were
used on the background and a water brush,
paint the bells.

When finished cut out the bells carefully
so you don't crack the embossing powder.

Add the image to your already layered
card and then with foam pads, add
the cut out bells so that they are raised.

When your card is complete, then you
can add some extra dimension/bling
with some Stickles Glitter Glue.  I used
Crystal as that allows the underneath
colour to show through.

This is what I used -

Woodware Stamp - Christmas Bells
Woodware Watercolour Card
Distress Inks
Water Brush
Silver Detail Embossing Powder
Versamark Ink
Co-ordinating Cardstock
Stickles Glitter Glue - Crystal
Stix2 Foam Pads

So that is it from me today,
I'll see you tomorrow with
another Carol!

  3. Love the colours, my favourite hues! The design is clean and restful after all the gaudy things I've seen (and made!) lately...
